Stephen Finch | Interview 18
Indiana Jones Costumer & Fan
Stephen Finch - Costumer
I first met Stephen Finch back in April 2022 at a charity event I was helping out at called Star And Cars. Set up by my friends Colin Wilby and Mick Croskery, to raise funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice. It’s a car show, with one of the greatest collection of Film and TV vehicles ever assembled!
Bond-ing - Stars And Cars
Myself and some other friends, Matt, Andy, and Director Steve, had been put in charge of managing 7 James Bond cars. As a photo opportunity placed with the cars was Stephen Finch, who was to be 007 for the day…
Opening Statements
Colin had let Finch know who I was, and that I had met Harrison Ford on set the previous year. I was not aware that he was also a huge fan. So once we were introduced in the morning, his opening line to me was “I hate you!” So I of course immediately thought…” I like this guy!” ha ha ha!
Costuming And Harrison Ford
After all the fun of Star And Cars, we bonded over our love of Harrison Ford, and of course Indiana Jones. Since as a costumer it’s one of Finch’s favourite characters, doing Raiders, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade incarnations. Amongst many other characters such as; Captain Jack Sparrow, Wolverine, and Superman.
FTLOSF 2022
Finding Ford would be at For The Love Of Sci-Fi 2022 for Anthony Daniels (see previous blog), plus Indiana Jones alumni Julian Glover would be in attendance. As such we arranged to meet Stephen there. After our interview with Mr Daniels, and as the sun was about to set we took the opportunity to sit down and chat with a fellow fan. As always we would love to tell you what we chatted about, but you’ll have to wait for Finding Ford!
Hero For Hire
I don’t think this will be the last we see of Finchy in Finding Ford, but he is available for hire…So check out Superheroes For Hire if you would like him to appear at your event! You can also give him a follow on Instagram.
Thank you Stephen!
So until next time,
May The Ford Be With You x
