Finding Ford meets Edward James Olmos from Blade Runner at LFCC 2014 in LETN T Shirt

Last Exit To Nowhere

I first became aware of Last Exit To Nowhere, 10 or more years ago. I think via their adverts in Empire Magazine. However, it wasn’t until my friend Stuart Wilson showed me some of their apparel (as he was wearing it), that I became a big fan! Plus he bought me one of their T-Shirts, with Al Pacino characters on, then I was hooked!

Film & TV Inspired Apparel

The genius of their products, especially for a Film Geek like me, is in the angle they come at them. Utilising memorable places, and corporations, used in classic films and TV. If you know, you know, and it can be a great conversation starter! Or at least raise a knowing nod, or wink from fellow fans. For example Amity Police from Jaws, or Weyland-Yutani Corp from Alien! The company was first established in 2007, learn more in thier video below…

LFCC 2014

I attended my first ever London Film & Comic Con back in 2014 at Earl’s Court. There was an incredible line up, which included HF co-stars; Carrie Fisher, Ian McDiarmid, Billy Dee-Williams, Dave Prowse, Paul Freeman, Edward-James Olmos, and more! At the time I was writing for Starburst Magazine, and presenting a radio show. So along with the excitement to meet the guests, I also wrote a report for the magazine, read it here.

Meeting LETN

It was a very busy event, the following year Showmasters moved it to Olympia. Upon arrival I couldn’t believe my eyes, when one of the first stalls I spotted was Last Exit! So I barrelled over and enthusiastically told them how much I loved them, meeting the main man Mike for the first time. It was here I hatched the idea for a game we would play at events for the next few years…

LETN Top Trumps!

I don’t think I’ve given it a name until now, but the idea was I would match their T-Shirts up with a guest I was getting a photo with. It all began with Blade Runner’s Gaff himself, Edward James Olmos! Over the years, we’ve had some fun playing this game, including giving T-Shirts to Rutger Hauer, and our friend Robert Watts! See below with John Rhys-Davis, who tickled me just as the photo was taken…This won LETN photo of the month!
